I set out to take some pictures of the bees

But by the time I had mobilised with my camera they had done their job and headed home.

But I did not let that motivation go to waste.

I don’t think I take the time to appreciate the things like this. I don’t even know what this flower is (any botanical experts?)

But I can see the way the light, and the wind moves through the leaves. How the colours move through shades of depth.

The next focus was the 4 legged friends that shared the yard with me. Mostly the beautiful Spaniel, Chester. Our manic terrier was otherwise engaged, with his ball. But check out that face. Well worth a picture (or 5)

Then I guess I shall end with some arty(ish) images. I have some cool creepy structures around me. How much do we miss because we don’t look up? This is way above my back door. You can see a little old abandoned swallows nest.

This whole experience has made me realise I need to get back into taking photos.

And that I really enjoy corridors.

And ginnels.

And old doors.
